除非您有某些必需的軟件是Win2K跑不動而只有2003才行的，否則，個人認為沒有升級的必要。只須不時間upgrade service pack 或safety patches就夠了。 |

謝謝回答.你所說的正是我本意.我喜歡2K的穩定. 不過這個月以後,MS再不支持server 2000. 我不在軟件界, 不知win2003 terminal 有多少與win2k terminal是一樣的. 才問問你.
現時我等最為洩氣的是在英文OS上用中文,以往香港台灣的中文軟件都有英文為主的選擇. 但中國簡字軟件與新一代軟件都沒有這個選擇. 你可知有那個ftp軟件是可用英文操作而能顯現中文文件的嗎? Thanks.

thanks again. that is wonderful information. I will give them a try when I am home. I am on the road now and have no Chinese input. Sorry for that. Besides FTP programs, I have the same problem with downloading software, I have been using net transport which don't work very well. Any good recommendations? Not having a good ftp program in the past, I used the lazy way and used my browser to access ftp sites for Chinese files. However, I am using firefox mostly nowadays and have not learned how to use it to include id/password to access a ftp site. Do you by any chance know? Thanks. |

For downloading s/w, it seems to me "Flashget" beats "NetTransport" by far.
Other than "Firefox". the following format accessing ftp sites applies to all browsers:
e.g. FTP Address: abcd.com ID: handsome Psw: 12345
You just key in ftp://handsome:12345@abcd.com
By dint of this, you can even bypass the "Firewall" setup by your LAN
Administrator to block outgoing FTP should it be the case.
FYI, in case you deem your "Firefox" unlikely advisable, I highly recommand "SlimBrowser"

JoeJoe: thanks for the information. I used flashget many years ago but switched to net transport because it was faster and able to handle more codings. At the time, I did not believe either one can display chinese when using the English menu. I may give it a try again but not too crazy that it is shareware and not freeware.
I like firefox more than slimbrowser. I can check the codes on firefox and I feel that it is more secure than slimbrowser. It seems also that there are much more and better extensions for fox than for slim. |

I tried Flashget. I was not able to get it to display the Chinese file names.
Looking at the home page on localization did not help. That page has the worst instruction I ever saw but it did implied that I can display other lanuages.
I copied the jccht file to the directory where flashget.exe is in but no luck. what was I doing wrong? thanks. |

按著power button 不要放手，4-6秒會關掉。
如果還是不行，那是switcher要退休了，找相熟的電腦店要一粒，拆開機箱把它換掉就可以了。 |
