For me, we don't have any sifus in Darwin. So we gather once a week as a group and we learn together, usually one song per month. But we do perform publicly once a year. The good things about it are less costly, self sufficency and more autonomy. The down side is we miss the fun of singing with the live band. (1) The clubs and people that I have connection here tend to like HK artists more than MIC (made in China) artists. Recent populars are Chan Fei-Hung's songs. (2) I do not go around and "Poo" goks, only between 1 or 2 music clubs and once a week the most. That's why I jumped in this Chat Room, trying to get more local news and gossips. Heheee... According to most sifus, you don't rely on the GungChe for "BongWong". Those should be planted in your heart because these are basics. They are not written out on papers.
